Andy is professionally qualified and accomplished company director with extensive sales / pre sales, business development and commercial experience. Andy has proven communication, motivation and leadership skills within managerial and technical fields at all levels, Andy is culturally well traveled and has experience of working in over 50 countries to date adding to his understanding and knowledge of unique requirements of individual customers.
Having has worked in the C-IED training environment for over 24 years he managed and directed training that had been delivered to over 3000 students from all areas of the world.
Andy's former roles have included Systems Group Director at Allen Vanguard; he was a former owner and Business Director operating the HMS group of companies. Andy with business partners Roger Davies and Mike Dolamore took HMS from start up company in 2001 to one of the worlds biggest C-IED training companies on its sale to Allen Vanguard in 2007. Prior to HMS Ltd Andy worked at BAE System within Ammunition and Explosives sales and customer support and managed large overseas bids and project refurbishment programs.
As a former British Army Bomb Technician Andy served for 12 years in the British Army in Explosive Ordnance roles and specifically Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) roles both operationally and as an instructor at the United Kingdom IEDD training school. Andy has also served under United Kingdom Special Forces (SF) supporting UK SF and Police operations in Counter IED environments.
